Timothy, how do you explain the disparity in the undervote count from optical scanners with the undervote count from the punch-card machines? Does this disparity reflect the fact that folks using the punch card system wanted to vote for president, did vote for president but the machine didn't register their vote for president? The optical vs. punch-card comparsion seems to prove this. Don't you agree? Given this is the case, then don't you think Gore has a case for wanting a full recount in the machine-plagued counties, since it was a close election and Florida law allows for him to ask for such a recount in those counties?
