AFTER deleting my continuumclient.dll file before the market opened and restarting about 10 minutes went buy and then:
QCHARTS caused an invalid page fault in
module CONTINUUMCLIENT.DLL at 015f:10009c8c.

No, you should never delete continuumclient.dll

You are effectively deleting important program files and its no surprise that the program is giving you a page fault error when it trys to load something that Windows thinks is there but you have deleted.

What you needed to do was delete ContinuumClient.ini

I am sure this has something to do with the traffic on the internet.

No, it has 100% to do with something You did.

Anyone that has read this thread knows that I am an open critic of Quote.com / Lycos MANAGEMENT. However, I do not think that Paul nor Jay are our problem. I see them dispensing solid advise and putting up with a lot of abuse. I have 20 years of experience in the IT industry and can judge these things. Clearly they are trying to help Quote.com users. Unfortunately their hands are tied by management.

Your beef should be directed at those that make the capital investment decisions at Quote.com, IMO.

Plus, well, you sabotaged your own application today.

Here's a link to a continuumclient.dll update installer:
