Informix Corporation Confirms Fourth Quarter Outlook WESTBORO, MA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--November 30, 2000--Informix Corporation (Nasdaq: IFMX) today confirmed that its outlook for the fourth quarter ending December 31, 2000, remains consistent with the guidance given in its third quarter earnings press release and conference call of October 24, 2000.
Specifically, the Company expects to report sequential revenue growth from the third quarter 2000 level of $211.1 million, and a return to profitability, before previously announced charges, as well. The Company further expects sequential revenue and profitability growth to continue throughout 2001.
In response to inquiries from investors and shareholders, the Company's Board of Directors and Senior Management stated that they believe that the Company's stock is currently undervalued and continue to consider the advisability of an additional repurchase of shares of the Company's common stock. However, the Company is presently precluded from doing so by its long-standing internal policy not to repurchase stock during the period beginning with the last month of the quarter and ending forty-eight hours after its public announcement of financial results for the quarter.
