Price to high? Are you kidding? Of course it's too high.
33 times it's earnings. Iomega has got to sell a lot, I mean, a lot
of Jazz drives. Right now the price of the Jazz Drive,
you can buy a CD-R. If you ask me, I would rather buy a CD-R.
Why? CD-R blank disks only cost 5 dollars for 650 megs.
So, 2 CD-R. 10 bucks equals 1.3 gig. Over the Jazz drive already.
You may argue CD-R doesn't re-write. So what, at 5 bucks a piece you
can afford to make a mistake, it's not like you can't write the rest of the disk. How much are the Jazz disk? 100 bucks a piece. With that price, I can buy 20*650 megs. 130 gigabye of storage. What would you rather have? You can argue portablity. Portablity.
What's more portable than a CD? Speed. Heck, if I wanted speed I'd go buy a Hard Drive. They're RPM'S are a lot faster. Seek time is a lot better as well. If you own IOMEGA. Trust me, dump the shares. It's not worth it. It's going to take a dump in the long run.
