another interesting tidbit from the sentiment front: almost every single analyst that appears on TV and opines on the economy says "we believe we're going to get a soft landing", the latest reason given for this belief is that 'everybody is talking about a hard landing', but that's simply not true. no mention ever of the fact that soft landings are the exception, not the rule...
