It is true that the peak btb and peak prices of most semi-equips occurred nearly together earlier this year. However, the "shape" of the btb this year is fairly similar to last year. Last year even though the btb dipped in the summer months, the stock prices just continued to increase. To me, the correlation of btb and semi-equip prices between 1999 and 2000 is just not there.
