your praise is misguided. roth is a buffoon. 5 years ago he was going to shut down the dwdm optics division because he didn't see it fitting into nortel's long term plan. mike unger, who headed the division until early this year, fought with him for months before convincing him to go forward. unger was responsible for all the key acquisitions (ie: cambrian from newbridge). he is the one responsible for nt's positioning. roth was right place, right time and still almost screwed it up. analogies to clinton and the US economy are correct..... sorry for the triade; couldn't help myself.....
