I think the number that is even more interesting for us to keep track of is the number of T cable broadband customers buying the bundle, that is a better way to project telephony growth since it is more likely to see the current cable internet customers to continue to migrate all services to T. Unless I am missing something, can't understand why anyone would call T to buy the telephony package without the cable tv and cable internet already installed.

Adelphia is waiting to grow their cable internet subscribers to a point where launching telephony will be economically feasible. Adelphia has just over 100,000 subscribers right now and I am guessing that they look to double that by mid next year...about the same time(I think I read somewhere about the time frame but I can be completely off by a quarter) they plan to launch the telephony package that they have been testing with Arris & NT. 100,000 subscriber x $20 x 12 months = $24 million...rough guesstimate but that kind of potential will likely will sufficient to fund a roll out for Adelphia.

From T's number, you can see that roughly half will convert & buy the bundle quickly, the rest may and may not.

comments welcome :)
