Me too. I think 2500 will hold. To be sure that this is the case we need help from Alan or Al. And we might have to wait until 12/17 for one or 12/12 for the other. Has Greenspan ever spoken out prior to fed meetings? I keep thinking that an offhand remark is called for like "duh, its obvious that the economy is in a soft landing and duh, the fed wont let that landing turn into a recession so while we diligently fight inflation we are not blind to economic reality. Fighting recession is job 1. If he said that, it would probably be worth 300 nasdaq points in a day or two.
