Don't forget that AG sees the focus of his job as containing inflation. He acted appropriately in earlier raising rates.

Because the price of oil is still high, I would expect a neutral stance by AG at best on the 19th, regardless of the state of the Election at that time. Although the Electoral College votes on the 18th, I think Al Gore is mentally ill. He's clearly ambitious enough to continue the legal fight after the 18th.
