Doug: Do you call your liberal friend "a piece of crap," too, because his views differ from yours?

No, but he is he is not a racebaiter. I believe you are. Hence the "piece of crap" description. Would you not agree that anyone who seeks to pit one race against the other is deserving of that status?

Re: "Why don't you start with the fat pensions and benefits the bureaucrats give themselves?"

I'd rather start at the source of the problem ... corporate welfare.

We can do that too,I say whack it out.

How does it feel, as a small businessman, to pay 20-plus percent in income taxes every year while GE pays 8 percent and several other Big Businesses pay zero percent?

Not to mention matching 8% SS tax, collecting escalating sales tax, recieving the public flack, only to turn it over the the state, sans the flack. How bout the ever present fear that an employee you fire for poor work habits(you want goodservice, don't you?) will hire a lawyer to sue you out of existence on a race issue? Or a sexual harrassment case. I have a friend who, after 3 years and $300,000 in lawyer fees successfully defended himself in such a case. It drove him into BK and suicide.

Re: "Who's really screwing the elderly, sick and poor?"
