Bhag,

Yes, TXCC makes CMOS based parts. To compare them against Vitesse, however, is tough for a variety of reasons. One is that TXCC has no fab, Vitesse does. Vitesse only does GAAS and TXCC only does CMOS. The standard parts they market do not necessarily compete in the same space. Vitesse makes parts that leverage the advantages of GAAS over CMOS (superb performance) like their FibreChannel transceivers, but do not concentrate on the logically intensive parts of system design (such as the FibreChannel controller function) that do not lend themselves to the density and cost challenged GAAS silicon. Vitesse also makes a small business in being an ASIC company in addition to selling standard parts.

I believe the only place they "sort-of" compete is in the 622 SONET space. Vitesse may have come out with a PHY in this space to compete against the very successful SUNI chips from PMC-Sierra. I don't believe TXCC makes a direct competitor to this part but they do play in this space.

By the way, nice movement in the stock recently! I assume you saw the announcement yesterday with Harris + Jeffries??

Neal
