Just out of curiosity, how profitable were the consumer, disk drive, and modem businesses? Could it be the case where they increased the revenue line but not the profits? And what were the competitive pressures for those product groups?

I don't know if EXAR ever broke down results by the product group segments but that would be an interesting data to look at. Since Mr. Solinas worked there or have contacts, he may be able to shed some light on this matter.

I am slightly profitable in my EXAR purchase but am tempted to hold on if future of small stocks/high tech/EXAR combination would be brighter. May be next quarterly earnings would indicated the trend. They did mention in the last report that their order bookings were
the best in a year or so.

The key question is, new or old mgmt, is their new strategy going to
work out?
