i think it WOULD weaken the dollar and push inflation higher...though i'm not sure if it would be a negative for stocks. in fact a weaker dollar would probably initially be seen as stimulative, and good for multinationals profits. only if it were to go into free-fall could things turn sour...like when the Yen tanked big in '98, the Nikkei suddenly stopped liking a weaker Yen.
