I'm wondering if you know how much silicon they have in the 3000-3100 models?? This is the box that they are shipping in volume NOW. I hear it has little if any BRCM-silicon. I would think it has some, but today I heard it has NONE?? Fact or fiction? An old PR just won't cut it these days either. What is needed is several pairs of pliers, assorted screwdrivers, and patience...I hate those damn tamper proof screws they've started to use. I remember when I was checking out DirectTV boxes several years ago how amazing it was to find "other" chips in place of ones we thought certain would be there. |
