I only partially agree with you. Many of the immigrants you refer to are recruited from abroad. These people came here with an above average education, were awarded green cards and citizenship by virtue of their own hard work and the help of their sponsors.

Many of the people you refer to as 'boat people' were among the best and brightest from the countries they lived in. They already had a work ethic and a means of support, they just did not have the wealth that our entrepreneurs have acquired.
