ALR Tech Pet Reminder now available!

ALR TECHNOLOGIES INC - Test Market Is Underway for ALRT
Pet Reminder

New York, New York, Nov. 30, 2000 (Market News Publishing via COMTEX) -- First Veterinary Hospital
Reports Positive Consumer Response

ALR Technologies, Inc. (ALR Tech), producers of ALRT(TM) Pet Reminder(TM), a pharmaceutical administration reminder product for the veterinary market, announced that two veterinary hospitals in Winston-Salem, NC, are the first to test market the product to consumers. An additional seventy-five veterinary hospitals will be added to the test market in early December 2000, and national product distribution for the more than 20,000 US veterinary hospitals and clinics will take place in January 2001.

Designed to increase pet owner compliance in the administration of monthly and daily pharmaceuticals, ALRT Pet Reminder uses both visual and audio cues to remind pet owners when to administer animal health medications, such
as heartworm preventives, flea control products and arthritic medications.

"Pet owners have had a need for something like the ALRT Pet Reminder for years," said Brad Craig, DVM, Mount
Tabor Animal Hospital, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. "I'm excited that we're the first hospital to offer this much
needed product to clients and the initial response has been very positive."

Utilizing microchip technology, ALRT Pet Reminder is easily programmable to fit individual dosing schedules and
can be reprogrammed by pressing a single button, should administration schedules change. Available in both
monthly and daily reminder varieties, ALRT Pet Reminder is backed by a 12-month warranty and features a
magnetic backing for ease-of-use and placement in the home.

"With the growth of the animal health pharmaceutical market, pet owners have more pharmaceutical options to help
their pets stay healthy, " said Stan Cruitt, President, ALR Technologies, Inc. "More medications to keep track of,
combined with the busy lives of pet owners, increases the risk of a pet owner inadvertently missing a dose. ALRT
Pet Reminder is the perfect complement to these medications and helps keep pet owners in check with dosing
schedules."

ALR Tech reports that an estimated 28 million pet owners purchase monthly heartworm preventives and or monthly
flea control products from veterinary hospitals and clinics. Further reports indicate that a large number of pet
owners purchase daily administered medications for pet ailments such as arthritis, congestive heart failure and
separation anxiety.

"In my 21 years as a practicing veterinarian, I have recognized that noncompliance is a reality and can have an
adverse effect on the pet," added Dr. Craig. "ALRT Pet Reminder will help take the guesswork out of administering
pet medications as prescribed."

ALR Technologies, Inc., based in Bellingham, WA, designs, markets and distributes technology-based products
that maximize the effectiveness of both animal and human pharmaceuticals. Purchase Order signings are expected
soon with up to five major animal health distributor companies. Product launches in the human pharmaceutical
market will soon be announced. For more information on the ALRT Pet Reminder and ALR Technologies, Inc.,
