that is a great swap file article. i am printing it now. i like that it is authored by a symantec engineer. <g>

his viewpoints are so diametrically opposed to everything this other microsoft engineer is saying, it is amazing. i must say that i have so far (previously) been leaning towards either letting windows handle the size, or keeping it smaller. it has just been recently that i have migrated towards the land of the walmart-sized, never-ending swap file. <g3>

one thing that article is missing is a 'printer friendly' format button. i've come to enjoy and rely on those.

i'll probably end up adjusting my swap file size to something more like what this article outlines. i love this thread for all of the input we provide each other. i think, though, that i will stay with this 1024mb for a bit longer, so that all of you conventional thinkers can have a nut in your midst to compare notes with!
