With regards to the Register report, they put it as if the company announced right after the 2 millionth CPU shipped from Dresden on 10/23/00. I could be wrong here, but I believe that 2 million CPU shipped news came about in an interview by Ct or some other German magazine with the director of manufacturing(?) at Dresden. I believe Andreas has posted this on this board well before the Register got hold of this news. goutama
