Microsoft plans to spend about $0.5 Billion on marketing X-Box, so Joe Schmoe will definitely know about it at launch time. As far as developers go, EA is the only major firm not publicly pronouncing support. xbox.com I view Sony's current inability to manufacture to target as a major vulnerability of PS2. I think they would need 20 million PS2's in consumer's hand by next Fall to keep from getting steam-rolled by X-Box and they will probably be only half way there. Bob
