Jacob and all, while it is fun to bash analysts SSB did in fact put out a report like this downgrading the entire chip sector on July 5, the day after AMAT closed at 92 5/16. They have been bearish (and correct) on the sector since then.

No one on this thread gave any credence to their report. I don't recall anyone saying "Maybe SSB are right and it might be wise to lighten up on the sector for a while". They were called fools and "reality challenged". Maybe the fools were not all at SSB?
