First, for any dimwit who's paying only half attention, it's the electoral vote that counts, so as to give the smaller states a say. To protect the little states, understand? If you don't get this concept, please respond and I'll be happy to discuss. Second, for those same dimwits, the margin is so small that Gore can't in good faith claim that he won the popular vote. Look at the numbers: 200,000/100,000,000 = .002. Any two runs through the counting machines, nationwide, could put it 200,000 in Bush's or Gore's favor.
