...best performing stocks for the next 12 months?

If the present difficulties turn out to be just a passing squall...chip fears are probably overdone, so ALTR PWAV AMAT and many other semis...contract manufacturer SLR ...software NUAN RATL WEBM and ARBA because it is growing so fast and PALM and HAND because they have by far the best interface for hand-held computing and PDAs are "in fashion " this year. WEBM and HAND are my favorites.

I'm tempted to add some energy stocks to this as I think China might be using more crude than they admit. XOM anyone?

Also keeping an eye on TIVO to see if that catches on although a disk drive company might be the best way to play this one.

If the economy goes into recession...energy and pharma will likely outperform everything else, except possibly cash. Shorting anything tech likely to be highly profitable. (especially optics and internet)

Also, how about the closing price of the nasdaq on 12/31/2001....LOL completely clueless...somewhere between 500 and 10000.<g>
