That plane was designed to cut a 60 yard wide swath when it flew over. One bullet in every square foot. It had stabilizers to keep it from rising as it fired the ammo.

Edit, firing rate was 18,000 rounds per minute. Every 5th round was a tracer, that's 60 tracers a second.
