Note I am not lauding or apologizing for Gore here, which is what your post seems to address. I agree that he is about winning. IMO that doesn't change what should be done here.

I don't think Bush should be blocking counting these votes. For one, Gore is within his rights to ask for the recount. For two, if his contention is that there is some inequity in the counting (and I believe there is in only counting some counties) the proper solution in my eyes is to recount the other counties as well...thereby enfranchising more people instead of throwing out the undercounts and disenfranchising more.

In any case, the more people who have their votes counted the better. I say accept the military votes as well if it wasn't the voters' fault that they weren't compliant.
