Joe,
obviously you do what you gotta do, but I think January will see a substantial flow of new money into the market, and if we get good report from NT then JDSU can move up a lot (I think NT reports before JDSU).
Because of the wash sale rule if you want to claim a tax loss you may consider selling JDSU now and repurchasing it as soon as possible in January. JDSU at 70 seems doable by February. However JDSU at 100 now seems kinda iffy within the next 4,5 months.
