Mary & Michael, You are both outlining exactly why INTC should come out and state their own forecast directly to the investment community. INTC's business model is far too complex for any outside body to accurately model (largely because INTC purposely does not provide detail info on their market segments for competitive reasons). Given this, combined with market uncertainty, INTC would best serve its shareholders by providing guidance more frequently throughout the quarter. This will serve to limit the impact of external analysts that have self serving objectives that often times don't serve the shareholders interests. I really think INTC is behind the curve on this. Again, I don't care if the news is good or bad but I want the news to be as accurate as possible and I want it coming from the source that best understands the issues and has the interest of shareholders in mind. Does anyone have Andy's phone number?
