Actually I don't fear it at all. Michael Barrone's analysis of the remaining Dade precincts alleviated much of my concern. They all voted 54% for Bush... That shouldn't change much, and if anything, would gain him some votes

Michael Barrone's opinion may or may not be correct. Basically, since November 8th, the Gore camp has been trying to get recounts and the Bush camp has been trying to stop them. That's the issue in a nutshell. The Bush camp has not been behaving like people who don't fear recounts. They have been behaving like people who have everything to lose from recounts (recall the frantic bad-mouthing of manual recounts before they had even begun) who are trying desperately to run out the clock.

But what you fail to understand is the Bush knows he won this election. Weighing the votes from Palm Beach and Dade... we can see that Gore didn't receive enough votes and won't receive them anywhere.

Since I don't know if Bush got more votes on Election Day I do indeed fail to understand how he knows he won. How can we weigh in the votes from Dade if we don't look at them? Let's just recount the state and see.
