John...
I stuck my neck out on a couple other threads and said the markets have been trashed by the election. Gore faithful have claimed that Gore has had nothing to do with the last 800 points down since election day.
I merely offer the idea that once the election is definitely decided, (preferably Gore will fade away like bad gas), and the markets sniff that out, that the NASDAQ will rally 500 points up in a few days. That should be proof that the election had a lot to do with the recent weakness in the markets.
The Gore faithful, even Petz who is not a Gore Loserman, say..."well, maybe we do rally but it won't hold"...
Kind of sour grapes if you ask me.
I simply suggest that we rally big and we hold above the lows...which is about 2500 in the NASDAQ.
The election results were a big surprise. Certainly the markets hadn't discounted anything. Therefore the knee jerk panic reaction. (Of course the markets were already vulnerable). I think the obsession with the election has a
lot to do with people not yet ordering PCs and scaring some boxmakers into making "slow sales" statements based on what they have seen since thanksgiving.

I do give Gore credit for the last rate hike or equivilent
effect on the markets...maybe the next FED move will be a cut...very bullish...
