micheal, I agree with your point. AMAT has now dropped
about 65% from it's high. I think this is about the same
correction, or slightly worse (someone with long term
data may enlighten me) than the 1998 destruction. And these
were very bad market conditions... now, the correction
happened eventhough bookings (look at NVLS yesterday)
remain near record levels. I think we currently have
priced in the stock a significant downturn in bookings for
at least 6 months. After that, nearly everyone agrees that
300mm should come online relatively fast. So the future is
not as bleak as all the analysts want us to believe. I
think they want our shares...
