What happened to derail that "axiom"...

Excessive interest rate hikes last spring by the Fed, combined with the untimely introduction of a new and largely unavailable CPU by Intel, seems to have tanked PIII and Athlon sales during a key portion of the Christmas buying season.

Like all the other ills in the world, I'm sure that you will try to blame this on Gore.

You might want to look at this chart and realize that the decline of tech stocks is not related to anything within your limited grasp.

BTW: You might not be aware of this, but the market for $3,000 PC's isn't very large.
