I probably agree more with you on NNs. They seem to be good at curve-fitting and plasticity, but something is missing for a good model of consciousness. Maybe more connections, re-entrant loops, etc, will fix the deficiency, maybe not. I also have an old copy of "Neural Nets in C++" sitting on the bookshelf. Are you my long-lost twin?
