The panther is a predator in order to eat. Man was once just as much of a predator for the same reason. As far as hunting goes, if it is necessary to hunt to eat, then I am for it but, to hunt solely for the pleasure of mounting a rack of antlers on the wall, beating one's breast, and proclaiming to be a mighty hunter, is nauseating to me. I know you don't do that, but was just venting that pet peeve at your expense.
It is my understanding that the burden of Original Sin was removed by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, so have not given that any consideration in our discussion. It is just that, IMO man has exercised his nature to an unhealthy extent, which in some ways, is endangering the ability of the planet to provide for the needs of man. To obtain, what is supposed to be pure water, we now have to pay some International company for it. There was a time when a man could dip his hand in any river, and drink pure water. All of the views I have are extreme, and probably a bit premature, but I fear the consequences later on.
