it's been said that the GG class of 2000 have had a great learning experience. That's true, but I think the class of 1999 have had an even better one. Although I wish I had bought a one-way ticket, I have to admit that taking a market roundtrip is very interesting. All sorts of stuff that was only hearsay or urban legend territory becomes real (in both directions), and hopefully the lessons will stick.

Some may wonder what a bozo like me is doing in the RT; I think the answer is that it humanizes things a bit to have some ordinary joe novices among the wise old turtles. Judging by the public and private responses my recent margin post received, there are a fair number of schmucks out there making my kind of mistakes. Perhaps having a public example will be of some educational value, so the next crop can learn vicariously rather than experientially.
