Hi CB,

But you don't really get it, Ray. You are blaming Bush's lawyers for the delay. Wrong! Think like a lawyer.

OK, if I'm a partisan lawyer and I don't want something to happen, I orchestrate an effort to put 95 witnesses in front of Judge Sauls, who, toward the end of his hearing today actually seemed fair in trying to get the Republicans to consolidate the witness list and avoid redundancy.

So let's compare:

What did each side hope to present tomorrow in Jugde Sauls' court:

Witnesses for Gore: 2
Witnesses for Bush: 95

I'm thinking like a lawyer who has a clue about math. In the court I believe it is called obstruction. In a legislative body it would be called a filibuster. Same M.O., same result hoped for. Just throw enough sand in the gears and stop the re-count.

Again, thinking like a lawyer, I'd say Boies is in trouble in Sauls' court. But, as I stated the other day, the Dems ace in the hole is the Seminole County case. Because it is there that a prudent jurist would be able to address the issue of fraud and manipulation and make a convincing case.

One thing we can certainly agree on, this thing is a mess. <g>

Best, Ray
