Go back to where you said we can get closer to God through reading his scriptures because that's certainly a good starting place. An artful dodge of my question. Which scriptures? Koran, Bible, Upanishads, Dhammapada, or Dianetics? You might have one answer, while a different person will have another. If I am to know who to believe, then I must use my flawed judgement which will not get any better until I begin reading these (or those, or those other...) scriptures. Do you have any conscience that you have sinned against God? Which God have I sinned against? How do I know?
