Neo,

I am not against civilization, itself, but am against civilization that ignores the needs of other species, and the Earth itself

Frankly, I would prefer a less dense population. That is why I will not live long in any home that is connected to another in and fashion, or does not have some sort of land ownership attached to it. As you may know, I will soon move to the Tampa area of Florida, where for awhile, will be living in a nice home, but it is in too close proximity to other homes. As soon as certain factors come into play, I intend to move to an area that will allow me at least 2 to 5 acres of land with a roomy, but unpretentious, home.

I would imagine that the lack of potable water in underdeveloped countries is more a lack of hygene education, than any other sort of pollution. The pollution that appalls me in this country, is the sort that is really unnecessary, but is caused by nothing more than the profit motive being the end to justify the means. Profit is needed for any business to survive, but any business should also have other considerations for the world that is influenced by it's presence.
