yep...i hear much of the same. generally i am told that "nowadays a BK is not possible because we have much better instruments to fine-tune the economy, and anyway, the Fed won't allow it". when i point out that such vague assertions are utterly meaningless i am usually rewarded with blank stares. as always, whenever history begins to rhyme again, people can't believe that it's NOT 'different this time'. and the greatest mania of all time has left them well-trained...
