Three years ago I tried out some Sony glasses in Tokyo. They were not 3D, but I really liked it. I'm sure they are much better now. You could see through the image so you could actually walk along a road, without bumping into something, while watching the screen; a kind of dual image, which would take a little bit of getting used to, but not much as we have peripheral vision now and can mentally focus on the image we are watching in front of us while processing anything entering the periphery and giving it attention if warranted.
