Give me some examples of "safe smooth stocks" LOL... anyway.. no offense taken dude.... but market makers definitely rob the retail investors anyway they can.. BRCM is hugely liquid. there should be no problem filling a 1000 share stop in BRCM. Isn't there job to make an orderly market? anyway, I am not blaming anyone for anything... I know that the market makers are trading against me and I take this into account..that is why I hate daytrading. I much prefer multi day or multi week swing trades. but this market has made those kind of plays obsolete, at least in the last four months.. overstaying any position is a major recipe for disaster.

and yes, I have a lot to learn. most of the stocks I follow are rather liquid.. icge cmgi isld mrvc amcc brcm prsf twwd mcom vytl, etc, etc, its amazing to watch a 1000 share buy be totally ignored for up to a minute when the order is placed at the ask, however, if they are taking the stock down, I am filled nearly instantaneously. anytime I get a fast fill, I know I am in trouble.
