kaka...."euro snobbery" ot ot ot

i think you'll find even those whose interests are beyond muscle cars have roots....

i campaigned in the mid sixties a second tier (meaning we got the trick parts after chrysler let the first tier guys like sox, martin, leal and landry play with them) 1964 dodge 330 light weight sedan with the max performance hemi and push button torqueflite...briefly held ss/aa national record at 10.96/127mph on 7" goodyear blue streaks......nhra declared the 100 cars (plymouth and dodge lightweights) too fast for super stock in 68, based on a 6lb/hp power/weight ratio....threw the car in b/mp which didn't excite me....picked up a full second and 8mph in the traps just with 11" m+h slicks...

got bored with straight lines and became enamored with road racing jaguar small sedans......

interesting though how a car like rudedog's ls430 could probably match straight line performance with most of the muscle cars of the 60's and 70's.....and do it with decorum!!!!
