You are the eternal optimist. The only thing a 3rd party candidate has done or ever will do will be to act as a spoiler aka loser with a grudge.

There are few things I ever say "never" to. But I will tell you this...if I look out my window in the morning and see the Sun rising in the East, and I repeat this action for five more days and continue to see the Sun rising in the East, I need not look out my window on the 7th day to know that the Sun has, indeed, risen in the East.

No 3rd party will ever amount to more than a warm bucket of spit.
