I rode the pmcs down (using ta's strategies) and still feel the same about the long term fundamentals.

after continuously studying the company's execution and the combined power of the acceleration in design wins massive R&D spin and superior management for the last 3 years, what appears to be wild volatility in the short term will be a barely measurable blip several years from now.

i remember fore systems' ipo in march of 1994 spooking the bejesus out of cisco shareholders that didn't understand the impact atm and switching technology would have on the need for routing bandwidth. as i recall cisco dropped from the 40 ish range to the teens by august with some help from some misplaced downgrades from paul johnson (then of first boston) .... but even if you had bought at the peak in 1994 and held cisco for a while i don't think you'd regret it today.

maybe the pe isn't so high if you understand what the non-published sustainable long term growth for pmcs could be.

short term, i hope you're right, i'd love to see pmcs go much lower....
