out of two in your guesses. I did not think the senate would be evenly split this year. But it was an easy guess that the dems would pick up seats in '98. I did, however, say in '96 that Clinton could be beat by a three-legged dog. And I was right....trouble was, the repubs ran Bob Dole. The pathetic creature, Clinton, still couldn't get half the votes. The only thing more hopeless was Dole. We need a national primary on, say, the third tuesday in September, where you can vote for anyone, and only the two top vote getters to be on the november ballot with no write-ins, so that the president will always get a majority of the vote. Such a system would also be the best chance for third parties to actually win.
