No problem - and yes, you are correct - many undervotes will not yield a discernable vote - because it is a fact - anywhere in America - that not everyone who came out to vote voted for a President. Some people don't vote as a protest, others because they don't care, others because they are undecided. SO, while it seems strange that they may have come out to vote for some local election and not the President - it does occur. Its even noted on exit polls. I believe I read exit polls in Miami-Dade put the no votes for President around 1%. Based on 650K cast - that yields 6500 no votes out of the 10,000 so called undervote ballots.

Given that polls all have a margin of error - its entirely feasible that this total of actual no votes for President by people clearly intending not to vote could comprise almost all of that undervote pile.
