Sunshadow, we don't know what they did. Ostensibly, they were given access only to fill in missing voter registration numbers. However, while in the GOP operative's possession any of a number of other material alterations could have been made. The extent of these alterations may never be known. Personally, I don't just trust the GOP to "honestly" make felonious alterations to only voter registration numbers (that's a mouthful). However, what the GOP changed on the requests is irrelevant to the fact that the access to the ballots was unethical, illegal and partisan. It might make the Democrat's case a little stronger to argue that unfettered access allowed the GOP to change any and all information that was on the ballot requests, but I believe that the case is strong enough as it stands to warrant throwing out those ballots that were derived from fraudulent means.
