I think the question of brokerage firm liability in margin call situations is of great interest to margin investors. I hadn't planned to address it directly other than eventually to post some links, for example biz.yahoo.com but I hope others will contribute their thoughts and experience with regard to this question. You've been sold out and left with a negative equity. The brokerage firm is going after you for the debit balance. What can you do about it?
