Jimbo - Re: "Neither Bush nor Clinton sought to eliminate the military vote...gore did."

I see that you are still sticking to the Big Lie campaign.

The R's were faced in their suit against 14 counties with a big problem. First their claim was that their were 1500 "military" absentee ballots declared invalid. But then they had to face the fact in the evidentiary hearing that these were 1500 OVERSEAS ballots, which everyone knew all along. Only 500 of the overseas ballots were from the military.

One of the small counties demonstrated that only 30 ballots were declared defective in its absentee count. Of the 30 ballots, 8 of the ballots were defective because the voter was NOT REGISTERED and 21 were defective because the voter had NOT REQUESTED an absentee ballot. That left only 1 ballot in 30 that could possibly be an uncounted military ballot.

So what did the Republicans do? They dropped their suit, declared a false victory and their lawyer got the hell out of town. By the way, the Republican lawyer was from Chicago, one of those outside attorneys visiting Florida that you keep whining about.
