Those are matters for the Florida legislature to take up for future elections. As of this election, those are the rules. If Bush were being prudent, he could have called for those recounts. He didn't. How can he not now take responsibility for his imprudence?

As to whether the Florida Supreme Court could or could not offer new recounts for Bush we won't know at this point.

If Bush wasn't trying to stall the entire process and roadblock this whole thing, we could have had the recounts already. How unfortunate it is that Bush is playing the role of obstructionist to a full and accurate accounting for the intent of the voters of Florida.
