Mani: I can assure you one thing, this 35% reduction did not happen based on standard cooling methods.

If that is the case, then they are guilty of gross misrepresentation (not legally, of course ;)). I must admit that my knowledge of actual systems is not enough that I can reasonably speculate where the bottlenecks are. It seems, however, that Isonics' total claim to fame is based on a serious drop in max temperature using conventional cooling methods.

This is backed by their constant comparisons of the cost of a standard cooling solution (fan+heatsink) with the added costs associated with use of their wafers (both being around 10 dollars). This would be completely meaningless if their method did not provide a significant improvement unless several hundred dollars worth of exotic cooling equipment is used.

It may well be that using these isopotically pure wafers is completely useless with conventional cooling methods. I guess I am in some ways a bit naive in that I have taken the company at its word that this is not the case.
